Anti Ragging

Our College is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all students. To this end, we have established a robust Anti-Ragging Committee. The committee includes our Principal, the Administrative Officer, two senior students, and two parents, ensuring a balanced representation of the college community.

Every year, senior students are required to sign an anti-ragging form, pledging to maintain a ragging-free campus. This proactive measure reassures our junior students that they are entering a safe and supportive environment. Juniors can feel confident and secure, knowing that our college has zero tolerance for any form of ragging, and that there are clear mechanisms in place to address any concerns they may have.

The committee is always accessible to students and parents alike, underscoring our commitment to a respectful and inclusive campus culture.

What is Ragging
  • Any act of abuse by spoken words, emails, posts, public insults to derive sadistic pleasure.
  • Any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.
  • Asking any student to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame, or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student.
  • Financial extortion or forceful monetary burden on a fresher or any other student.
  • Any act of physical abuse including sexual, homosexual assaults stripping of clothes, forcing obscene lewd acts and gestures causing physical and mental torture
  • Any act that affects the mental health and self confidence of any student with or without intent to derive sadistic pleasure or priority over others.

'Nursing' is a noble profession. Its members are revered for their human values, compassion, and consideration for their fellow human beings. Every nursing student shall therefore learn to be self-disciplined and observe rules and regulations as a matter of habit rather than because of fear of consequences. They shall at all times conduct themselves with proper dignity and decorum expected of a budding nurse.

The following instructions are framed to prevent the menace of ragging and foster healthy interpersonal relations among students at the Rosalia Nursing Academy.

  • Ragging is strictly forbidden in or outside the campus.
  • All students shall familiarize themselves with rules/regulations/guidelines on code of conduct, anti-ragging measures and discipline of the institute.
  • Any student who suffers ragging or notices occurrence of ragging shall immediately report the event to concerned authority.
  • Incidences of ragging can be reported to any member of Anti-ragging squad, Anti-ragging committee of the college.
  • Students may report incidence of ragging either orally or in writing. They may also report the incidence in person or by phone. Anonymity of the caller will be maintained.
  • Any victim of ragging not satisfied with the action taken by the Head of the Institution or by the University may submit an appeal in writing to report the event to the local police.
  • The students were informed that any student who is involved in ragging act will be completely terminated from their education.
